Please get in as much training as you can over the next week for our next senior grading. Most of you are already well prepared for your next belt so don’t be worried by the short notice. Please practice the names of the throws for homework.
To be eligible to grade you need to be registered with Judo Tasmania and this can be done through the Judo Australia website:
https://memberdesq.imgstg.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=main&OrgID=8247
There will also be a fee to grade and a form to fill out prior to attending. I will have this info for you shortly, Dan.

HUJC Treasurer attends national conference "Sports without borders"
On Friday the 29th of April, HUJC
Treasurer and long-term volunteer Rosemarie Baker attended a Grassroots
Conference on Sports Without Borders in Melbourne. Please have a read
through the attached summary of the important points
that Rosy took away from the day. Participation in such a conference
will help give us ideas to ensure we grow as an all-inclusive (or
“without barriers”) community sports club in our technologically and
culturally evolving society.
We would like to echo the thanks of Rosy to the TUU
who funded the trip and I would also like to thank Rosy for attending,
especially on such short notice. If any of you see something like this
that you think might be beneficial for your
involvement with the club – please draw my attention to it as there may
be future opportunity to ask for further grants to continue
participating in such events.
